Born and raised in the High Desert of Southern California, Jennifer has always had an appreciation for the varied beauty of the scenery around her. From an early age she used to "borrow" her mothers film camera and take pictures of anything she could, until one Christmas she was finally given a Canon camera of her own.

In high school Jennifer took her first ever photography darkroom class and was instantly hooked, from then on she knew this is what she wanted to do with her life. Jennifer enrolled in the Associates of Arts program at Antelope Valley College where she expanded her knowledge of photography with classes in Black and White Darkroom, Color Darkroom, Wedding and Event Photography, and Studio Photography.

Jennifer then went on to start her own freelance photography business, Phoenix Imagery, and focused on her growing appreciation for the world around her. Concentrating mainly on landscape and nature imagery, her love of traveling grew. For a few years Jennifer also photographed entertainment events such as concerts and theatre productions, however she never let go of her dream of becoming a full time travel and landscape photographer.
